An Israeli airstrike on a health clinic in southern Lebanon has killed 12 medical personnel, including doctors, nurses, and paramedics, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health reported. Rescue teams are continuing operations to locate additional victims, and the death toll may rise.

The strike targeted the Burj Qalaouiyah Health Care Center while medical teams were preparing to break their fast after treating casualties from an earlier airstrike, according to Quds News Network.

Since the latest escalation, Lebanese officials report that Israeli attacks across the country have killed 773 people, including 103 children, and wounded more than 1,900.

In a statement, the Ministry of Public Health condemned the attack, calling it part of a “continued violent approach against health workers” that violates international humanitarian law. The strike followed an earlier attack in Al-Sawana that killed two paramedics, highlighting a pattern of targeting medical personnel in the conflict.
