The World Shia Union announces the establishment of a religious course for young people from different countries of the world

The World Shia Union, in partnership with Shia institutions and centers in Europe, America, Australia, India and Pakistan, announced the establishment of a religious course for youth, which will be hosted in the holy cities of Karbala and Najaf, next month.

According to what was published by the Union in announcing the course and followed by the Shia News Agency, the aim of its establishment is to provide an exceptional opportunity for young people to receive spiritual guidance and undergo an experience that will change their lives for the better.

The World Shia Union said: “The registration of the names of those enrolled in the course entitled ‘Madinat al-Ilm’ (City of Science) has been completed, and young people (males and females) between the ages of 18-25 are participating in it.”

It added, “The course will be held in several religious centers in the cities of Karbala and Najaf, and will be from December 18, 2022 – January 1, 2023.”

He explained that “the course has been held within a series of similar courses for more than 18 years, and includes religious lectures and lessons in jurisprudence and Shia belief, as well as regular visits to holy shrines and various cultural activities,” noting that “the participants will achieve a balance in intellectual and cultural advancement, which is something necessary to lead a correct Islamic life.”

The Union pointed out that “the course will be offered separately for both young men and women, and its lessons will be presented in English, and will provide the participants with the opportunity to gain knowledge, spiritual enlightenment, perform the pilgrimage, and get acquainted with great personalities while visiting the holy shrines in Najaf, Kadhimiya, Samarra and Karbala.”
