Gifted by the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, new Kiswa embroidered and stitched for the Al-Askariyain Holy Shrine

The employees of the Stitching Division at al-Abbas Holy Shrine have gifted a new black Kiswa to the Al-Askariyain Holy Shrine in the holy city of Samarra.

The official of the Division, Abdul-Zahra Dawood, said in a press statement followed by Shia Waves News Agency: “The blessed Kiswa will be presented as a gift from the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine to the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali Al-Hadi and Imam Hassan al-Askary (peace be upon them) to be hung during the months of Muharram and Safar next year.”

He added, “A luxurious quality of fabric was used and embroidered with verses from the Noble Quran.”

Dawood explained, “The Kiswa will be 180 cm wide and 95 cm long, to cover the four holy tombs of Imam al-Askary, Imam Al-Hadi, Lady Hakima and Lady Fiddah (peace be upon them).”

The blessed Kiswa will be placed over the pure tombs at the beginning of the sacred month of Muharram next year.
