Yazidis open the first Muharram service tent in Sinjar


The Yazidis in the Sinun district of Sinjar district, north of Mosul province, have organized the first service tent in honor Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in the district to commemorate the holy month of Muharram.
Various religious denominations and ethnicities in Iraq participate in the ceremonies held by Muslims to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein and his family and companions, peace be upon them, during the months of Muharram and Safar in the various provinces of Iraq.
A delegation from al-Abbas Holy Shrine, which included the supervisor of the Cultural Center for Guidance and Development, Sheikh Haider al-Aridhi, and the director of the center, Sayyed Mahmoud al-Araji, visited the tent to see the services it provides.
Sheikh al-Aridhi said in a statement followed by Shia Waves, “While talking to the organizers, they explained to us that the cause of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, is a humanitarian issue, and Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, is for all free people and gathers humanity under his banner.”
According to al-Aridhi, they emphasized that Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, is a revolution against tyrants, and represents all the oppressed in the world, and is not limited to one religious denomination or religion.
Muslims in Iraq and the world are commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, his family and his companions, peace be upon them, and have been holding mourning ceremonies since the first day of the blessed month of Muharram.
