Today, Wednesday, the Iranian authorities announced the number of Iranian pilgrims entering Iraq on the upcoming Arbaeen Pilgrimage.
Iranian authorities stated in a statement received by Shia Waves News Agency, that “the number of Iranians who have registered their names to participate in this year’s Arbaeen has reached 3 million and 400 thousand pilgrims.”
They expected that “the number will reach more than 8 million by the day of the pilgrimage.”
This comes amid the continued influx of foreign pilgrims participating in the Arbaeen through the various Iraqi border crossings.
