The Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development has continued its “Visitor Chair” initiative in the holy city of Najaf, providing assistance to pilgrims commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and visiting the shrine of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).

The initiative aims to support elderly pilgrims, patients, and people with disabilities by providing wheelchair services to help them reach the holy shrine more easily during the large-scale pilgrimage gatherings.

The foundation stated that the “Visitor Chair” project is carried out in cooperation with the Imam Hussein Media Group and the IHC Charitable Foundation, as part of joint humanitarian and service efforts to ease the difficulties faced by pilgrims and improve access to the shrine.

Volunteer teams participating in the initiative accompany visitors and assist them with wheelchair transportation across central areas of Najaf and around the shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), helping those unable to walk long distances due to health conditions or the heavy crowds.

The foundation confirmed that field operations will continue throughout the mourning ceremonies in Najaf, with ongoing coordination with relevant authorities to ensure smooth services and respond to pilgrims’ needs.

The Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation, affiliated with the office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Al-Husseini Al-Shirazi, is active in humanitarian, relief, development, and pilgrim service programs, particularly during major religious occasions and mass pilgrimage events.
