Iraq has been ranked first among Arab nations in the 2025 global intelligence index published by CEOWORLD magazine on Thursday. The country placed 61st worldwide out of 199 nations, scoring 89.28 points out of 100.

The report emphasized that average IQ levels are shaped not only by genetics but also by education quality, cultural values, public policies, and access to resources.

Bahrain followed Iraq in the Arab world, ranking 97th globally, while the UAE placed 107th, Lebanon 110th, Libya 115th, Qatar 116th, Jordan 117th, Tunisia 122nd, Sudan 125th, and Oman 128th.

Globally, Japan topped the list, followed by Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and China. South Korea, Belarus, Finland, Liechtenstein, and Germany completed the top ten, while Nepal, Liberia, and Sierra Leone ranked lowest.
