25th International Book Fair Kicks Off in Baghdad

The 25th International Book Fair in Baghdad commenced on Thursday, featuring the attendance of several ministers and officials.

Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, Iraq’s Minister of Culture, represented Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ Al-Sudani at the event.

Ahmed Al-Mubarak, the Minister of Youth and Sports, emphasized the fair’s significant role in enhancing the charm and beauty of Baghdad.

Abdul Wahab Al-Razi, President of the Iraqi Publishers Union, stated that Baghdad will remain a beacon of knowledge, just as it was a cradle of civilization in the past.

This year’s book fair showcases 600 publishers from 21 countries, including Iraq, Arab nations, and various foreign countries, alongside numerous writers and intellectuals.

The fair will continue until Sunday, September 23, operating from 10 AM to 10 PM.
