The house of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi holds mourning ceremonies in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him)

Yesterday, the house of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, witnessed the establishment of mass mourning ceremonies to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hassan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him).

A statement issued by His Eminence’s office, received by Shia Waves News Agency, stated that “His Eminence joined the honorable seminary professors and students, scholars, preachers and believers, in the commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hassan (peace be upon him).”

He added that “the mourning ceremonies were held in Persian in the morning and in Arabic in the evening.”

The statement clarified that “a number of Husseini preachers recalled the martyrdom of Imam Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) and touched on many implications of his honorable life and his great positions in preserving the heritage of his grandfather the Noble Prophet and his father, the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon them) and the preservation of the Islamic nation from misguidance and the Umayyad deviation.”
