Iranian pilgrims continue their walk towards the holy city of Karbala to commemorate the Arbaeen


Over the past few days, the people of Iranian cities and villages have received a large number of Iranian pilgrims who are walking on foot from the holy city of Mashhad to the holy city of Karbala, to participate in the commemoration of Arbaeen, as the Iraqis eagerly await their arrival to host and serve them.
The correspondent of Shia Waves in Iran stated that “the Iranian citizens of Ansar al-Hussein Procession continued for the eighth day in a row, on foot towards Iraq, to reach the holy city of Karbala.”
He added that “the Iranian pilgrims, after visiting the Holy Shrine of Imam Redha, peace be upon him, in the holy city of Mashhad, started a journey on foot to enter the Iraqi lands and then reach the holy Karbala to participate in the blessed Arbaeen Pilgrimage.”
Our correspondent pointed out that “the people of the Iranian villages and cities located on the path of the pilgrims, opened their homes and set up service processions to receive them and provide the necessary services for them.”
Their blessed journey to the holy city of Karbala will take about seventy days.
