Cairo: Sayyeda Zainab District witnesses urban movement that coincided with the fragrant birth anniversary

Coinciding with the revival of the birth anniversary of Lady Zainab (peace be upon her), the district of Sayyeda Zainab in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, witnessed the implementation of a number of construction and service works, with the aim of developing the area that witnesses a large number of pilgrims during these blessed days.

The district official, Major General Hatem Al-Haidbi, said: “This district is considered one of the ancient Egyptian heritage districts, and it includes an architectural heritage that must be preserved in various ways and shown with a beautiful architectural splendor.”

He continued, “The governor of Cairo, Major General Khaled Abid Al-‘Al, stressed the need to develop streets and squares in the district of Sayyeda Zainab (peace be upon her), as well as facilitating traffic and improving the level of services provided to citizens and visitors.”
