The Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development in the holy province of Karbala has brought joy to the hearts of a large number of Afghan families, after providing them with winter fuel, in light of the difficult living conditions they are going through.

In a statement received by Shia Waves News Agency, the Foundation said that it “carried out, under the auspices of the Shirazi Religious Authority office in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif, the second phase of distributing coal fuel to the needy Shia families in the city.”

The statement continued, “The campaign included the distribution of coal fuel to 550 families of the poor and needy Afghan families, who are in dire need of assistance.”

It added that “efforts are being made by the Foundation to take care of the Afghan Shia families, under the guidance of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, who directed support for them during the current tragic circumstances.”

The statement indicated that “the office of the honorable religious authority had already implemented the first phase of distributing coal in the city, and it included 400 families”, stressing that these subsidies are provided to these families to relieve their burden.
