The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) announced it is providing services to more than 20,000 children across six provinces of Afghanistan through its “Child Development and Growth Centers,” Hasht-e-Subh Daily reported.
In a statement released on Monday, January 12, UNICEF added that parenting skills for 10,000 parents are being strengthened through these centers.
UNICEF emphasized that children need recreation opportunities, noting that activities such as ball games are organized at the centers.
The organization also said that childcare and parenting skills are provided to parents through these facilities.
