Deadly Explosion in Kabul Claims Six Lives, Injures Thirteen

An explosion in Kabul, Afghanistan, has resulted in at least six fatalities and left 13 others injured, Al Jazeera reported. The incident occurred in the Qala-e-Bakhtiar area when a suicide bomber detonated explosives strapped to their body, according to police spokesman Khalid Zadran. This tragic event took place on the afternoon of September 2, with victims including a woman among the deceased.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, and authorities are currently investigating the incident. Despite a general decline in violence since the Taliban’s takeover in 2021, the Islamic State’s affiliate in Khorasan Province remains a significant threat, frequently targeting civilians and Taliban officials.
