Afghan Shia Ulema Decries Mistreatment of Migrants in Iran

The assembly of Shia Ulema of Afghanistan convened in Kabul to denounce the mistreatment of Afghan migrants in Iran, labeling it a violation of good neighborliness, Tolo News reported yesterday.

Sayed Hassan Fazalzada, the assembly’s head, urged Iranian authorities to hold accountable those responsible for the brutal arrest of an Afghan migrant by security forces. He emphasized that such actions reflect poorly on both nations and should not go unpunished.

Fazalzada also dismissed external criticisms of the Islamic Emirate, asserting that they lack significance. He cautioned against calls for war from figures gathered in Germany, stating that such declarations undermine divine principles. Attaullah Sadeq, another prominent figure, echoed these sentiments, warning against repeating past mistakes.

The assembly participants also voiced solidarity with the Palestinian people, condemning global inaction regarding Israel’s actions.
