Afghan women sell handmade merchandise abroad via online stores

A company in Kabul is helping women artisans to sell their handmade crafts globally through online stores, Khaama Press reported.

The company has created online platforms for many talented female artisans to showcase and sell their products, including traditional Afghan clothing, jewelry, engraving, and paintings.

Additionally, women-led businesses like Laura Fashion are actively involved in designing and sewing Afghan clothes, with a focus on serving Afghan citizens living abroad.

Due to limited purchasing power domestically, many women are now exporting their products abroad, leading to an increase in women turning to handicrafts as a means of income.
