Mourning processions began in various Islamic and non-Islamic countries to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, his companions and his family, peace be upon them, amidst strict precautionary measures and health protocols by the organizers recommended by authorities, such as social distancing, wearing masks and gloves in addition to sterilization, taking into account the current health condition and the repercussions of the spread of Covid-19.
Meanwhile, the holy shrines of Imam Hussein and al-Abbas, peace be upon them, witnessed the entry of mourning processions in succession, according to a schedule prepared in advance to facilitate their passage and prevent crowdedness, in addition to the deployment of volunteer teams to sterilize and fumigate the areas.
