The construction of the bridge project has been stalled since 2002 on the removal of the mosque and residential and commercial buildings.
According to citizens, the mosque’s board of directors announced their approval to demolish the mosque, as work began within 24 hours.
According to the agreement, the government will rebuild the mosque elsewhere in the next 12 months.
