According to elbalad website, the collection, which has been published by the publishing institute of Al-Azhar Islamic Center’s library, is on display at the center’s pavilion at the exhibition.
The encyclopedia includes a bibliography of Quranic manuscripts, descriptions of who has inscribed it, the time of inscription, as well as physical features of the works including their size and the number of pages and prefaces.
An electronic version of the encyclopedia has also been made available for researchers and scholars.
Al-Azhar Islamic Center has participated in the Cairo International Book Fair for the second consecutive year.
The 49th international book fair in Cairo was opened on January 27 and will run until February 10.
