Shia Rights Watch International Organization has condemned the forced displacement of the people of Kufriya and al-Foha, saying the latest agreement to evacuate residents from these towns is a flagrant violation of human rights and international law.
The organization said in a statement that it feels sorry for the situation of the residents of the Shia villages of Kufriya and al-Fo’a, which have been besieged for three years by extremist terrorist groups, considering that the final agreement on the evacuation of the residents of these towns is a flagrant violation of human rights and international law.
The organization expressed its regret over the failure of the international community and the Syrian government to protect the security and safety of the inhabitants of these two towns, despite the insistence and defiance of the people against the terrorist attacks and the siege imposed on them years ago, resulting in the death and injury of hundreds of people.
The organization blamed the armed terrorist groups for the great responsibility for this blatant violation of the rights of the Shia population, especially that those groups have terrorized residents on sectarian background.
