Mass rally in Bahrain rejects royal reforms and calls for full democracy
Tens of thousands of Bahrainis poured into the streets of Manama to protest a proposal put forward by Al Khalifa regime tied to legislative, security and judicial reforms.
Middle East Eye reported that the rally came a day after the ruling kingdom issued a statement summarizing proposed changes that included redefining electoral districts, promises of judicial reform and new codes of conductfor security forces.
Since mid-February 2011, Bahrainis have constantly been holding demonstrations in the streets of Bahrain, calling for the Al Khalifa royal family to relinquish power.
