Bahrain doctors fear arrest over treatment of protesters

Physicians at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain have expressed resentment and anger towards the regime as the authorities have targeted those who helped treat protesters.

 

 Rights groups have urged the organization to abide by human rights standard and honour their profession by caring for all patients without discrimination.

According to reports doctors have been bullied by the authorities and urged not to assist wounded protesters. The College Board back in Ireland has expressed worry over such allegations, stressing that politics and medicine were not good bed-fellows.
