Bahraini protesters have taken to the streets to voice their anger at the ruling Al Khalifah regime’s crackdown and attacks on Shia mourners holding ceremonies to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.

Demonstrators in the capital Manama slammed the regime’s policies toward the mourners during the lunar month of Muharram.

The protests came after security forces removed all placards and banners related to the mourning processions.
