Shirazi World Foundation Issues Message on International Day for Eradication of Poverty

On the occasion of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, the Shirazi World Foundation released a statement describing poverty not only as an economic problem but also as a moral and humanitarian issue that requires global cooperation, Shia Waves News reported.

Referring to the teachings of Amir al-Mu’minin, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), the Foundation stressed that caring for the poor and ensuring a fair distribution of resources are core duties of governments and leaders.

The Foundation also emphasized the need for wealthy countries to support the world’s poorest nations, increase humanitarian aid, cancel debts, and promote fair trade at the international level.

The statement underscored that global solidarity is the only path to achieving social justice and human dignity, and that the international community has a responsibility to work collectively to eradicate extreme poverty and secure a decent life for all people.
