Imam Hussein Holy Shrine announces success of plans laid for Mid-Sha’ban Pilgrimage
Imam Hussein Holy Shrine announced yesterday, Wednesday, the success of its plans laid for the commemoration of Mid-Sha’ban Night, which marks the blessed birth of Imam al-Mahdi, may Allah hasten his honorable reappearance.
In a statement received by Shia Waves Agency, the officials of the Holy Shrine said that, “Concerned government agencies and the security, service, health and organizational departments of the Holy Shrine contributed greatly to the success of the blessed Sha’ban Pilgrimage, with no violations mentioned.”
They added that, “(6000) volunteers, in addition to (600) female employees and (900) female volunteers, and (1000) doctors and nurses participated in providing service to the pilgrims.”
According to the Media Department of the Holy Shrine, more than two million pilgrims, from Iraq and other world countries, celebrated the blessed Mid-Sha’ban Night in Holy Karbala amid tight security.
