The shrine of the great companion, Saeed bin Jubair, peace be upon him, in the province of Wasit, Iraq, witnessed the arrival of hundreds of thousands of pilgrims commemorating his martyrdom anniversary. 

The pilgrims came from different Iraqi provinces carrying Iraqi flags in solidarity with the peaceful protesters around the country. 

It is noteworthy that the companion Saeed bin Jubair al-Asadi was pious religious scholar of the people of Medina. He was killed by al-Hajaj bin Yusuf al-Thaqafi.
