Muslims worldwide condemn Saudi’s decision to restrict visit to Holy Prophet’s Shrine

Large numbers of Muslims from around the world, as well as Shia followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, have condemned the decision of the Saudi authorities to ban visits to Prophet Muhammad’s Holy Shrine, except once a year; emphasizing that it is an attack on the rituals of Allah Almighty and a blatant violation of the Holy Prophet’s shrine.

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that the availability of booking a permit to visit the Holy Shrine of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family, in the city of Medina is once a year.

Muslims objected to the decision, which some described as a cheat; as it deprives an entire nation from visiting the tomb of its beloved Mustafa, peace be upon him and his family, for (364 days) in full.

Muslims said in their objections and condemnations of the decision: “It is a great crime, a violation of the boundaries, and an attack on the rituals of Muslims in the land that was honored to embrace the pure body of the seal of the prophets, peace be upon him and his family.”

They confirmed that “issuing such an arbitrary decision by an authority that claims to belong to Islam will deprive Muslims from visiting the tomb of their Prophet,” pointing out that “this decision could lead to a more criminal and hideous step, and perhaps it will reach to prevent any visit to the Holy Grave for life.”

They also pointed out that “the ruling regime has completely turned against the divine teachings; while it encourages the spread of obscenity and manifestations of nudity in the name of civilization, culture, and development, we find it violating the sanctities of Muslims and depriving them of seeking blessings from these sacred sites.”

Muslims around the world have called on Muslim countries and organizations to reject this decision and condemn it; to deter the ruling Saudi authorities from implementing it.

They added that “these countries and organizations bear the responsibility for the occurrence of such violations, as they have remained silent for a long time about the crimes of Saudi Arabia against Islamic sanctities, and the first of which was the violation of the sanctity of the pure graves in Jannat al-Baqi’ and the deprivation of believers from visiting them.”
