The Holy Quran Museum in the Hira Cultural District of Makkah is exhibiting a rare printed copy of the Holy Quran dating back to 1324 AH (1906 CE), as part of efforts to highlight the history of Quranic printing and preserve Islamic manuscript heritage.

According to the museum, the edition is among the early printed copies produced in Kazan, a historic center of Islamic publishing. The copy features marginal annotations and scholarly commentaries that reflect the historical efforts of Islamic scholars to interpret Quranic verses and explain their meanings.

Museum officials said the exhibit aims to demonstrate the role of printed Quran editions in expanding access to Quranic studies and supporting generations of students and researchers.

The rare volume is preserved by the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies and is being displayed through a collaborative initiative designed to introduce visitors to significant Quranic artifacts and the historical development of Quran printing.

The Holy Quran Museum, dedicated exclusively to the history and preservation of the Quran, houses a collection of rare manuscripts and printed editions documenting the evolution of Quranic writing and publication across different historical periods. The museum incorporates interactive exhibition technologies to present the history of the Quran and showcase centuries of efforts devoted to preserving and transmitting the text.
