The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) has included Imam Ali Holy Shrine’s al-Roudha al-Haidariya Library among the most important active libraries in the world providing services to researchers during the coronavirus pandemic.
Library Director Ali al-Issawi said, “We worked to provide remote services to researchers, and our library is now one of the most important tributaries of knowledge to students because of its reliable sources, journals, letters and university theses.”
He added, “The other thing is that the public libraries have closed their doors due to the pandemic, which prompted us to intensify our efforts to meet the needs of researchers through a specialized staff working day and night answering researchers’ inquiries and providing them with the necessary information and resources.”
