California-based Sayyeda Fatima Al-Zahra Association digs over 2,500 wells in poor countries

The Fatima Al-Zahra Association, based in the US state of California, has successfully dug dig and built wells for clean drinking water in several poor countries, especially in Africa, where citizens experience sharp water scarcity throughout the year.

The association said in a statement on its official, viewd by Shia Waves Agency, that: “Water is the essence of life, and the lack of clean water poses serious health risks to people as it hinders the achievement of the general welfare of human societies.”

It added that it has been committed over the past years to implementing its humanitarian program for digging wells, and making a concrete difference in the lives of those who are deprived of access to this basic life resource.

It added that “a large number of volunteers and generous donors contribute significantly to the implementation of this project, which aims to build clean and sustainable water wells in areas in need,” pointing out that “these wells are not only a stable source of clean drinking water; they also relieve the physical and mental burden of fetching water from a long distance.”

It pointed out that it has so far succeeded in digging and installing more than (2,500 wells) in various cities around the world, especially poor cities, to provide clean drinking water for residents.
