Anwar Haq Kakar has been appointed as Pakistan’s interim Prime Minister; local media have reported.
According to reports, Mr. Kakar was proposed to the President of Pakistan as the interim Prime Minister after the agreement between the Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Raja Riaz, the leader of the opposition.
This appointment came after the President of Pakistan, Arif Alvi, signed the order to dissolve the National Assembly of the country on Wednesday night.
With the dissolution of the parliament, the term of the previous government of Pakistan ended and the interim prime minister will be in charge of managing the country’s affairs until elections are held and a new government is formed.
