Shirazi World Foundation condemns Holy Quran burning by far-right extremist in Sweden

The Shirazi World Foundation has expressed its condemnation of the heinous crime of the burning of a copy of the Holy Qurn in the name of the freedom of expression in the Swedish Capital, Stockholm.

The Foundation said in a statement received by Shia Waves Agency that, “The Swedish authorities giving permission to a far-right extremist, driven by racist groups, to offend more than two billion Muslims; represents a clear violation of the human rights. It is a malicious act of collusion which aims at inciting hatred and violence.”

The Foundation pointed in its statement that the Swedish authorities must apologize before the international community and to give pledges not to repeat such violation, and to bring the perpetrator and the racist groups that support him to justice.

The Shirazi World Foundation called on the United Nations General Assembly to condemn this outrageous act and to introduce new laws criminalizing those who commit similar acts.
