Anjuman Hussainia Khawajgan, along with several other charity organizations in Pakistan’s Baluchistan, continue their efforts in building houses and mosques damaged by the recent floods hitting the area.
During a fundraiser to complete the first phase of their project, these organizations as well as certain Shia scholars complained about the lack of attention and support the central government has shown in dealing with the victims of the recent floods in the region.
They believe millions of people have suffered loses and are living in poverty due to the central and provincial governments’ negligence.
According to official reports, from 14 June to October 2022, floods in Pakistan killed 1,739 people, and resulted in ₨ 3.2 trillion of damage and ₨ 3.3 trillion of economic losses.
