Arson attacks threaten mosques in Minneapolis
Two mosques in Minneapolis were “almost” set on fire this week. The police are investigating a possible bias motive behind these arson attempts as a mask-wearing individual has been captured on security camera footage.
Muslim leaders are worried the unsatisfied offender will continue his attacks following his two failures.
Meanwhile, authorities have voiced concern.
“We don’t want our community to get to the point where they are not coming to the mosques”, stated CAIR-Minnesota executive director Jaylani Hussein, adding that he expects the community to be more vigilant and increase security.
It should be mentioned that Minneapolis is the first major US city to have allowed public broadcast of calls for prayer (Azan).
