Grand Ayatollah Shirazi delivers pre-Ramadan speech, puts emphasis on self-discipline

The Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, urged the loyal Shia and Muslims across the world to do righteous deeds and to educate themselves on obedience and piety during the month of God Almighty, the blessed Ramadan.

In a speech delivered to a group of scholars, intellectuals and students of religious seiences, and was attended by Shia Waves Agency, Grand Ayatollah said: “What is required of all of us is to educate one’s self as recommended by the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) during this great month, as an individual obligation.”

His Eminence continued, that the true Islam “is the Islam of the Messenger of God and Imam Ali, peace and blessings be upon them, and it includes the foundations and pillers of religion,” indicating that “their teachings are not being delivered as must be, and it is an individual obligation upon those who are able to deliver and spread these teachings to take the initiative.”

It is worth noting that a large number of scholars, , professors and students of the Noble Hawza, intellectuals, and activists attended Grand Ayatollah’s speech, which was covered live on Shia media channels, including Imam Hussein Media Group.
