Pakistan: Clashes erupt as security forces deployed at former PM’s residence leave

Supporters of former Pakistani Prime Minster, Imran Khan, clashed with police as the law enforcement have raided Khan’s house in an ongoing police operation to arrest Imran Khan, media outlets reported.

Earlier today Imran Khan tweeted that his house in Lahore’s Zaman Park area is ‘under extreme attack’.

Roads near Zaman Park have been cordoned off using shipping containers, while mobile and internet connectivity is severely restricted, according to reports coming out of Lahore.

Law enforcement officers are withdrawing from around former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence in Lahore, officials say.

Police from the capital, Islamabad, tried for a second day to arrest Khan in a case pertaining to his alleged selling of state gifts given by foreign leaders when he was prime minister.
