Indonesian newspaper recalls painful tragedy of Karbala

The Indonesian official newspaper (Republika) recalled the painful tragedy of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and the sacrifices it made in order to support the authentic Muhammadan religion.

The newspaper said in an article, translated by Shia Waves Agency: “The tragedy of Karbala, which took place in the year (680 AD), left endless grief among Muslims, as thousands of Yazid’s soldiers killed the grandson of the noble Prophet Imam Al-Hussein, his family and companions, peace be upon them.”

It also shed light on Imam Hussein’s son, Imam Ali al-Sajjad, peace be upon them, and the great sacrifices and roles he played after the al-Taf battle.
