The representative of the World Health Organization, Adham Ismail, affirmed that Iraq would remain in a good position in terms of containing the coronavirus by continuing to adhere to preventive measures in the next ten days.
Ismail said in statements, “The decrease in new infections and the rise in the number of recovery cases are reassuring and promising to control the virus.”
He added, “The rapid steps taken by the Crisis Cell to increase the number of testing laboratories and to emphasize the application of preventive measures, as well as preventing gatherings, have contributed greatly to the prevention in the present time.”
