Shias around the world commemorate the demise anniversary of Lady Um Al-Baneen (peace be upon her)
An atmosphere of sadness and condolence prevailed in Iraq’s holy cities and around the world, with the painful tragedy of the demise anniversary of Lady Um Al-Baneen (peace be upon her), while the Shias of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) offered their condolences on the painful occasion.
The holy shrines in Karbala, Najaf, Kadhimiya and Samarra witnessed the spread of black banners in mourning for the sorrowful occasion, in remembrance of the stances of this great lady, whose demise anniversary is marked tomorrow, Friday, 13th of Jumadi Al-Thani.
Correspondents of Shia Waves News Agency in Karbala and the Iraqi provinces reported that “special programs will be revived by the holy shrines, Husseiniyahs and Shia Islamic centers in commemoration of the tragedy of the martyrdom of the Lady Um Al-Baneen (peace be upon her).”
Our correspondents quoted pilgrims and clerics saying: “What the Shias of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) focus most on in reviving this tragedy is recalling the stances of the great lady in caring for the two imams and Lady Zainab and Umm Kulthum (peace be upon them) after her marriage to the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him).
Religious offices, institutions and centers affiliated with the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq Al-Husseini Al-Shirazi in Iraq, Iran and the world, will revive the painful memory of the demise anniversary of Lady Um Al-Baneen (peace be upon her).
