The Holy Quran Scientific Academy announces launch of the Quranic Project in Iraqi universities and institutes

The Holy Quran Scientific Academy of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine announced the launch of the Quranic Project in Iraqi universities and institutes in the holy province of Karbala, stressing that targeting the Quranic academic community is one of the priorities of the Scientific Academy’s strategy for the Holy Quran, in addition to increasing awareness of the holy book in terms of knowledge and culture.

The first activity of the project was a Quranic symposium presented by Dr. Ali Hamad Kalkawi at the University of Karbala – College of Islamic Sciences, in which he dealt with various matters related to the rulings and arts of recitation.

According to the director of the Holy Quran Institute, Sheikh Jawad al-Nasrawi, “The Quranic Project in Iraqi universities and institutes includes courses in the provisions of recitation and intonation, intellectual seminars, Quranic forums, and national competitions, through which the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine aims to spread the Quranic culture among university students.”
