Employees at Imam Hussein Holy Shrine continue construction work of Hassan Mujtaba courtyard
Employees of the Engineering and Technical Projects Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continue construction work of Imam Hassan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) courtyard, which is the second courtyard within the expansion project of the shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), after the courtyard of Aqila Zainab (peace be upon her).
The head of the department, Engineer Hussein Reda Mahdi, said in a press interview, which was followed by the Shia Waves Agency that “the aim of establishing the courtyard is to provide an area of (100,000) square meters to serve visitors, distributed between spaces dedicated to performing ritual ceremonies, and service, intellectual and cultural spaces.”
He added that “the project is divided into several stages and the courtyard is distinguished by an important geographical location because it is located next to the Qibla gate of the shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) extending to the eastern side down to Imam Ali street.”
