Indian bank prevents veiled woman from withdrawing her money

Social media influencers shared footage of an Indian bank preventing one of its Muslim clients from withdrawing money from her account before removing the veil.
In the video, the girl’s father is shown arguing with the bank’s employees, asking them for an official notification that veiled women are prohibited from withdrawing money except after removing their headscarves.
The girl said to the bank’s employees that she had previously come several times and withdrew the money without problems, and her father threatened to resort to the police in order to hold the bank accountable for its behavior.
The Indian region of Karnataka is witnessing a campaign against the Muslim veil, and extremists loyal to the ruling Hindu nationalist party in India, have pursued veiled women in universities, while the local authorities in the region forced Muslim school students and teachers to remove the veil before entering educational institutions.
