The capital of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan, is preparing to host the Seventh World Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions on September 13-14, 2022.
This came according to what was announced by the representative of the Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Dialogue between Religions and Civilizations in Kazakhstan, Abyshva Madina.
The main objective of organizing the conference is to promote peace and peaceful coexistence among the followers of the world’s religions, to inculcate concepts and principles of respect for religious pluralism and cultural diversity, and to enhance the qualitative interaction of cultures and mutual understanding in society.
It is noteworthy that the draft of the First Conference of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions was approved on February 13, 2003, while the first conference was launched in September 2003, a unique event under the title “International Conference on Peace and Harmony”, where representatives of the entire religious world gathered at one table for the first time, to find common reference points in the world to establish a permanent international institution, ensure religious dialogue and coordinate fateful decisions.
