Britain: Birmingham mosques distribute food baskets to the needy

Two mosques in Birmingham, Britain, took the initiative to distribute hundreds of food rations to the needy in the city as winter approaches and energy costs rise.
The two mosques distributed aid to more than a thousand people, as families struggle to cope with the cost of living crisis.
The Green Lane Mosque in Small Heath and Al Falah Mosque in Handsworth will distribute 500 food rations to the needy across Birmingham, while the two mosques have witnessed an increase in turnout in the recent period.
Islamic Relief Britain has partnered with mosques to help meet the needs of the needy and provide food rations for vulnerable people.
“Local authorities in our city are increasingly asking for food to support families (especially young children),” said General Secretary of Al-Falah Mosque, Adel Barka.
