The International Non-violence Organization, Free Muslim, stressed that Arab parliamentarians bear the heavy responsibility that falls on the shoulders of parliamentarians.
In a statement received by Shia Waves, the organization expressed its deep regret for what some members of the people’s councils in the Arab countries are saying, especially the resort to profanity during the deliberations that take place under the dome of those councils, as well as the use of some members to descend into fistfights and quarrels in a way that represents disappointment.
The organization stated, “These abnormal behaviors, in violation of the literature of legislative work and the supposed decency of those elected to represent an entire people, call for a return to civility, morals, and the high level that a parliamentarian must hold in this stature.”
The organization stressed that the grave responsibility that falls on the shoulders of parliamentarians requires dream, patience and the search for optimal ways to reach the higher interests and what brings good and well-being, away from fanaticism, unproductive debate and regression towards wrong behaviors.
