The International Nonviolence Organization, Free Muslim, issued a statement on the occasion of the International Day of Science and Peace, in which it called on humanitarian institutions to focus efforts in order to spread science and knowledge.
The organization stated in the statement, that “science and knowledge occupied a pivotal space and a fundamental reason for human progress and happiness, in which nations enjoy and prosper, and the progress and stability of peoples has always been associated with science and knowledge since man settled on earth as a sane creature.” It added, “Because peace has been associated with knowledge and science, as they are inseparable, it has become necessary to spread the humanities in all their details on the face of the globe for people to benefit financially and morally. Otherwise, it represents diving into the sea of ignorance, backwardness and conflicts of all kinds.”
It explained, “As the international community commemorates the anniversary of the International Day of Science and Peace on November 6, the organization calls on humanitarian institutions, with all their official and unofficial titles, to focus efforts in order to spread science and knowledge, and in parallel with that, peace undoubtedly prevail.”
The organization called for the need to work on spreading and strengthening scientific facilities around the world, starting with regular schools and universities, passing through cultural institutions and, last but not least, the organizations that promote those efforts.
