Niger: Sayyed al-Shuhada Committee digs new wells to provide safe drinking water for poor families

The Sayyed al-Shuhada Committee, affiliated with the Shirazi Religious Authority in Kuwait, continues its humanitarian activities to serve citizens in a number of African countries.
In a statement received by Shia Waves, the Committee stated that Niger is in dire need of a lot of assistance, especially in the field of providing potable water.
The statement added that a campaign, in cooperation with philanthropists, was launched to dig wells, in order to provide safe drinking water in poor and deprived areas in Niger, stressing that it has so far been able to dig dozens of wells.
The statement affirmed that the Committee carries out these actions based on the directives of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, on extending a helping hand to the underprivileged.
