UNICEF: Hunger and disease kill a Yemeni child every 10 minutes


In the seventh year of the ongoing war in Yemen, UNICEF Executive Director Henrietta Fore announced that a Yemeni child dies every 10 minutes from starvation and preventable disease.
Fore indicated before the United Nations Security Council that the war on Yemen has led to the worst humanitarian crisis in the world, where 21 million people, including 11.3 million children, need assistance to survive, while about 400,000 children suffer from malnutrition and are at risk of death.
It is noteworthy that the Ain al-Insania Center for Rights and Development revealed in its statistics about the victims of the Saudi bombing during 2,300 days, that the total number of martyrs reached 17,176, including 3,842 children, 2,400 women and 10,934 men.
The number of wounded reached 26,715, including 4,225 children, 2,832 women, and 19,658 men.
