Projects launched for the reconstruction of Samarra, the capital of Islamic civilization
The Parliamentary Committee for Culture, Tourism and Antiquities announced the launch of projects to rebuild the city of Samarra, the capital of Islamic civilization, within the next few days.
The head of the committee, Sami’a al-Ghalab, said in a statement issued after her visit to the city of Samarra, and received by Shia Waves Agency, that “the Culture Committee, as a member of the committee overseeing the implementation of the Samarra Law, the capital of Islamic civilization, visited the historic holy city, and met the governor of Salah al-Din for the sake launching projects specified by law.”
She added that “the reconstruction projects will include all the roads and alleys of the city, as well as the infrastructure and tourism and the provision of all services to visitors to the city.”
