Human rights organization: The violations of the Saudi coalition affect Yemeni women
Intisaf Organization for the Rights of Yemeni Women and Children addressed the violations committed by the Saudi coalition forces against Yemeni women.
The organization said in a press conference at the headquarters of the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sana’a, “The western coast region, which is under the control of the UAE-backed forces, witnessed 685 crimes, including 132 cases of rape against women and children,” confirming that “456 women and children were raped, while 423 women were kidnapped.”
The organization called on all civil society organizations working in the human rights to “intensify their efforts regarding crimes committed in the southern regions in which the real state authorities are absent from implementing the law.”
It also called on international organizations to “intensify their efforts in documenting the crimes committed in the southern provinces against women such as murder, rape and kidnapping, and exposing them to international public opinion, in preparation for bringing the perpetrators to justice.”
Intisaf called on the United Nations and the international community to work to stop the war on Yemen, and to implement the basic objectives on which the organization was based.
